Happy New Years!!!

Happy New Years!

I can't believe it's 2009 already...mainly because that means I'll be the big 4-0 soon! But it's good to have 2008 behind us and now we can hope for a better 2009! I mean, 2008 wasn't horrible for us personally, just the royal "us". =}

We ushered in the New Year the same we have for the past 5 years or so... with our friends, the Seals! (actually, we may have missed one year due to the fact that the Seal's went on a cruise...? But we won't hold that against them!) Tradition is we eat pizza, snack on junk food and play games until midnight. Oh yes, and it wouldn't be tradition without this also....
poor Rick, dozing off before the fun could even start!

The girls asked all day, "When will Jamie and Tristen be here?" like a broken record. Once they got here, the party commenced. We ate, the girls played Trouble with Jamie and then they
jumped on bubble wrap to make lots of noise

The original party girls!

After that, it was off to bed for them so the adults could play some games! We played "Scene It", the Friends edition AND the 80's music edition. BTW, just a warning for the readers, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT think you will be Tristen at ANY Friends trivia game... it cannot be done! But she's a gracious winner and only laughed at us a few times...KIDDING! We also played Catchphrase...this game cracks me up because your brain works faster than your mouth often and people are sputtering nonsensicle things, hoping you'll guess the word. It's always fun!

New Year's resolutions seem a little silly to me only because I don't think you should set goals to better yourself just once a year. I strive to fail at bettering myself all year long, not just in January! But, truly, I do have some things I want to work on this year so wish me luck!

Happy New Years Jamie & Tristen!

Happy New Years from the Churchwell's!

May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions!

Looks like you guys had a good time! We used to play Catch Phrase all of the time with Chris' family - although it was fun, it could get a little violent at time (mainly because all of the boys would throw the disc around rather than passing it).
