Birthday Party Weekend...

Last weekend the girls had some birthday parties to go to. Hannah went to a roller-skating party Saturday afternoon. I am SO sad that I forgot my camera for that one. It brought back such memories being at the skating rink...remember the big fluffy pom-poms you could get to attach to the toe of your skate? Remember "shoot the duck"?
It was Hannah's very first time to skate and she was so excited! You now get a choice of roller blades or the good old-fashioned 4 wheel skates. We chose the latter. They had a "practice rink" at the end of the big one. Hannah wisely decided to start there. Poor thing...I can't even count the number of times she ended up on her bottom. But she always had a smile on her face and got right back up. She never gave up. She even had a sweet little girlfriend come over and offer to help her and hold her hand so they could go out on the bigger rink. By the end of the party Hannah was very tired and VERY sore. (And if you ask to see her right elbow today, you'll see a very large bruise). She's ready to go back though!

Now, on to the second party of the day. Hannah and Haylee were invited to Lauryn Peterson's 4th birthday party at Sunbelt Gym. Lauryn takes gymnastics there. It was a fabulous party! The girls had so much fun!

Here is the party girl, Lauryn, and her mom, Hattie.

Here is the whole group on the giant slide.
They had this super fun pit filled with foam blocks. Even the adults got in on the fun, jumping in and being silly.

Here I am in the "pit". ( Word of caution...once you get it, it's hard to move!!)

Here's Hattie "hiding" in the foam blocks.
Tristen took a turn too!
Hannah modeling her new earrings.
Haylee swinging like Tarzan.
Kaiya and Jamie jumping on the trampoline.
After all the playtime, we went upstairs for some cake and presents.

Here is Kaiya after she finished her cake.

It really was a lot of fun! We had the whole place to ourselves and the lady who ran the party was fun. Thanks so much for inviting us, Hattie! Happy Birthday Lauryn! It seems like just yesterday I took your mom brownie bites in the hospital!
