How we spent our 4th of July...

Freedom Is Not Free!

We celebrated our 4th of July as we have in so many years past...

Our ward had their annual pancake breakfast, featuring Bishop Fredrickson's pancakes. We also had a bike parade for the kids to participate in and lots of socializing. Here are a few pictures from that morning:

Brother Nielsen and Bishop Fredrickson (in the apron) cooking pancakes for the group

Brother Turner leading the bike parade!

Haylee, all decked out and ready to go

Hannah, also ready for the parade

... and they're off...

That evening we had the Seal's and the Worlton's over. We had a little BBQ followed by a dip in the pool and to round out the evening, we had fireworks in front of our house:
waiting patiently for the men to get the show set up

Kaiya with her sparkler... if memory serves me right, last year she didn't want much to do with them

Hannah making circles with her sparklers

We had a great day! We loved spending it with our friends... and we're thankful to live in a great country with all of our freedoms... let us not take them for granted. And let us always remember those who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice so that we can be free...
