Field trip to the Aquarium

The first grade at Hannah's school had a field trip today! They went to the Dallas World Aquarium and then the Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch. The buses were a little behind schedule...they were supposed to leave the school at 9am...one bus didn't even arrive until 9:45! We left the school around 9:15 and waited at the aquarium with all of the other parents. The buses arrived around 10:40 or so... and we had to be done and out of there at 11:15! YIKES! Here is Hannah departing said bus:
better late than never!

Even though our time was short, it was fun! I had a good group of kids:
Aaron, Hannah, Kaylee

They were enthralled with everything they saw! They ran from exhibit to exhibit chattering about what was behind the glass. For some odd reason there is a cage in there with cute little bunnies...can someone clear up why that is there? All I could think of was "is this what they feed the sharks?"...of course, I didn't say that out loud, I didn't want to be responsible for any nightmares! Here is Hannah getting up close and personal with a GIGANTIC fish:

They even playfully posed for me:
"Here we are, running from place to place so we can see everything!"

We then mosied over to the Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch. When we signed up for the field trip, we selected what we wanted to eat and drink. I had a momentary panic attack this morning..."I don't even remember what I picked, let alone what Hannah wanted!" Thankfully the 1st grade teachers are SO organized! Each of our name tags had a lunch choice listed at the bottom! WOO HOO! The employees certainly had their hands full trying to feed 120 1st graders and their chaperones but they did a wonderful job! Here are some of the kids at our table:
Morgan, Lauren, Hannah

I am so thankful that I am able to do these things with Hannah. It's fun to be with her and see what she is learning. Next year Haylee will be starting these things! Double the fun!

Sounds like an awesome field trip. Can't wait for the Easter egg hunt tomorrow.

You got some really cute pictures! Maybe the bunnies were Easter snacks for the alligator...
